Perpetrators of adultery will usually receive legal and social sanctions from the surrounding community. The same thing happened to the woman who was caught in adultery in the text John 8:1-11. The woman was judged unfairly according to the law by the scribes and Pharisees. In contrast to the scribes, Jesus was there to provide forgiveness and assistance to the woman who committed adultery. Through this research, the author wants to provide the example and method that Jesus gave as a guide to how to deal with cases of adultery which are rampant among Christians in Jakarta. This research uses the hermeneutic method and literature study of the story of the woman who committed adultery in the text John 8:1-11. Through this research, it is hoped that Christians, especially God's servants, will be able to emulate the attitude of Jesus who forgave and accompanied every Christian in Jakarta who fell into the sin of adultery.
2024-06-04T00:00:00+00:00Hak Cipta (c) 2024 Kaluteroshttp://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/75Dampak Negatif Cyberbullying dan Upaya Pencegahannya2024-05-30T08:03:47+00:00Nursenta Dahliana Purbanursentapurba@sttii-surabaya.ac.idSontiarma Octavia Turnipoctaviaturnip99@gmail.com
The development of technology has both positive and negative impacts on human life. The ongoing discussion revolves around whether the baptism of the Holy Spirit continues to this day and whether the "Bahasa Roh" referred to in the Bible denotes meaningless utterances as practiced in modern Pentecostal churches. Pentecostals argue that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence and fundamental pattern of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, while others refute this claim. The primary basis for both arguments is 1 Corinthians 14:2. The purpose of this research is to uncover the true meaning of "Bahasa Roh" according to the Bible as written in 1 Corinthians 14:2. This research is qualitative research using the method of exegesis. The analyses used in this research are contextual analysis, grammatical analysis, and historical analysis. The results of the research reveal that γλώσσῃ (tongue) refers to utterances that cannot be understood and were never learned, as a result of the prompting of the Holy Spirit. As part of the gifts of the Spirit, it is necessary to serve one another well and glorify God, but it should not be the main focus because the most important aspect of all gifts is the driving motive, which is love.
2024-06-12T00:00:00+00:00Hak Cipta (c) 2024 Kaluteroshttp://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/79Historis Konsep Prapengetahuan Allah dan Hubungannya dengan Predestinasi (Dari Abad Ke 11-15)2024-06-20T07:19:28+00:00Harman Ziduhu Laiaharman@sttii-surabaya.ac.idThio Donald Sugiarto thiodonaldsugiarto@gmail.com
The concept of God's foreknowledge and its relationship with predestination is one of the teachings in the Bible that is difficult to understand. Discussing the foreknowledge and predestination of God entails delving into the divine plan for humanity throughout eternity. Consequently, it has been subject to much speculation. The difficulty lies in affirming that it can only be comprehended to the extent that God reveals it in the Bible. Even biblical statements about it have been interpreted diversely. This is evidenced by the various views held by theologians from the 11th to the 15th century. Based on a literature review of these theologians, it is apparent that the foreknowledge of God has been understood in several senses: as God's foreknowledge of all things and causing predestination; as God's approval of the chosen ones and causing predestination; as predestination itself for the saved; and as God's foreknowledge of what He will do for believers, occurring simultaneously with predestination, both being caused by the will of God.
2024-06-20T00:00:00+00:00Hak Cipta (c) 2024 Kaluteros
