Jesus’ prayer is a prayer that is alive and that heals human souls and minds, or that has an impact on people who believe in Him. The purpose of this research is to provide an impact on other people about prayer that lives and grows in human life, and why this prayer is called a living prayer that provides healing for the soul and mind of believers based on the book written by Kallistos Ware from Diokleia. The method used by the author in this research is qualitative. The author collects and writes from sources, such as books, journal articles, and from church fathers, which are related to this research. The findings in this paper explain that the Jesus prayer can be done anywhere or in your daily routine. This prayer can help humans in bringing their relationship closer to God, and will bring salvation from God, so that they will be like God.
Rahmat Wijaya, Yayan Indrawan Hak Cipta (c) 2024 Kaluteros https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/80 Mon, 18 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 “Keseimbangan Otonomi Lokal dan Kesatuan Doktrinal: Kajian Pemerintahan Gereja Dalam Konteks Masa Kini” https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/87
This study analyzes various church governance models, namely Episcopal, Presbyterian, Congregational, and Synodal, using a SWOT analysis method to examine each system's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Each governance model possesses structural characteristics that impact decision-making, authority distribution, and the relationship between congregants and church leaders. The results show that each system offers a unique approach to maintaining doctrinal unity and enhancing congregational participation. However, no governance model is entirely ideal; each faces challenges in balancing centralized authority with local autonomy. Therefore, this study also proposes fundamental principles, such as collaborative leadership, distributed accountability, holistic theological formation, sustainable resource management, and responsiveness to social challenges, which can be applied to optimize church governance functions in an ever-evolving social and cultural context.
Daud Darmadi, Leonardo Paruntu Hak Cipta (c) 2024 Kaluteros https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/87 Tue, 19 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Studi Eksegesis Matius 7:21-23 dan Implikasinya Dalam Kehidupan Kekristenan https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/86
This research was conducted to provide correct insight into using or using these verses according to their context, this is because these verses are often used in the wrong context so that their implications in Christian life will be wrong. Without prioritizing or discriminating against any particular religion. The purpose of interfaith dialogue and cooperation is to maintain and create religious moderation for dialogue and mutual visits among religious leaders. This is a necessity in the field (the urgency of religion) to build and foster brotherhood, and to appreciate the existing differences. The basic principle of religious moderation is fairness and balance. The foundation for religious moderation from the biblical perspective that the author offers is based on Jeremiah 29:1-9; Romans 13:1-7. The church, in this case, the servants of God and Christians (believers), obeys the existing government. Pray and strive for the welfare of the city where God has placed us. For the welfare of the city is our collective welfare. The current government is an instrument that God uses for the good of society, the nation, and the country. The aim of this research is to foster harmony among religious communities and to fulfill their rights and obligations. The method used in this research is qualitative, utilizing supporting references through a literature approach.
Sri Wahyuni , Roy Pieter Hak Cipta (c) 2023 Metalogia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/83 Tue, 21 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Hubungan Antara Iman dan Perbuatan: Tinjauan Dari Injil-Injil Sinoptik dan Kisah Para Rasul https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/82
This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the relationship between faith and actions in the texts of the Synoptic Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, this research integrates theological and psychological perspectives to explore how faith influences an individual's actions in the context of Christian life. The findings of the study indicate that genuine faith manifests in actions consistent with a transformed heart through repentance, as well as the importance of voluntary actions as responses to the power and grace of God. Salvation is viewed as the outcome of voluntary actions and individual awareness to surrender oneself to Christ. This study not only contributes theoretically to the understanding of Christian theology but also provides practical guidance for individuals seeking to deepen their faith relationship with God through everyday actions. It is hoped that this research will open up new insights and inspire a deeper understanding of the essential relationship between faith and deeds in the context of Christian life.
Joko Priyono Hak Cipta (c) 2024 Kaluteros https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/82 Fri, 22 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Pengampunan Dosa dan Keselamatan Pada Masa Intertestamental dan Relevansinya Pada Masa Perjanjian Baru https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/90
The Intertestamental Period, lasting approximately 400 years between the Old and New Testaments, is often referred to as the "400 Silent Years" due to the absence of new divine revelations. This period, coinciding with the Second Temple era (530 BC–70 AD), raises critical theological questions, including the understanding of atonement and salvation among the Jewish people and the continuity of God's redemptive work leading to Jesus Christ. Using a library research method, this study explores the theological significance of this era as a bridge between the two testaments. Despite the Babylonian exile and the destruction of Solomon’s Temple, Jewish worship persisted through synagogues, and the Torah remained foundational. The promise of a Savior and the hope of deliverance endured, providing a crucial connection between Old Testament theology and its fulfillment in the New Testament message of salvation through Christ.

Farida Tawuru May Hak Cipta (c) 2024 Kaluteros https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/90 Tue, 26 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Kristen Progresif: Analisis Kritis Terhadap Penyimpangan Teologis dalam Pemikiran Modern https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/85
Progressive Christianity has emerged as one of the significant streams of thought in modern theology. This movement seeks to reinterpret Christian teachings by incorporating contemporary social and cultural values. However, the evolving understanding of Progressive Christianity often sparks debates over deviations from established orthodoxy and traditional Christian practices. This article aims to critically analyze Progressive Christianity, focusing on the theological deviations present in these new interpretations. The study explores the impact of progressive thought on the core principles of Christian faith and its consistency with traditional teachings. This research employs a qualitative approach using literature analysis methods. Primary and secondary sources relevant to Progressive Christianity and traditional Christian theology are critically examined to identify significant doctrinal changes and shifts. The findings reveal that Progressive Christianity tends to adopt secular values and flexible moral interpretations, often conflicting with traditional teachings. Certain concepts within Progressive Christianity, such as the reinterpretation of the Bible and fundamental doctrines, are seen as potentially diluting the core of Christian faith. Progressive Christianity presents a significant challenge to Christian orthodoxy by attempting to merge modern thought and contemporary interpretations into theology. This analysis indicates that while there is an intent to make the Christian faith more relevant to the modern world, such thinking can lead to deviations from the true foundations of Christian faith.

Daniel Ari Wibowo Hak Cipta (c) 2024 Kaluteros https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/85 Tue, 26 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Hidup Kristen yang utuh berdasarkan Filipi 4:9 https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/91
In contemporary times, Christian living has lost its essence. This is evident in how Christian life today has strayed far from God’s plan as outlined in the Bible. Many Christians engage in religious practices purely as acts of ritualistic obedience. Studying and understanding Scripture is often reduced to the pursuit of knowledge alone. Acts of goodness are performed with manipulative intentions, aiming to reap manifold returns from their actions. Christians have increasingly abandoned the essential values that should define their faith. In this paper, the author employs the methods of literature study and textual analysis. Based on findings from various sources, the author concludes that a holistic Christian life must be built upon a deep understanding of God’s Word. The Word of God is not given to satisfy human curiosity about God or merely to recount what He has done in the past or will do in the future. Studying, hearing, and receiving God’s Word must culminate in putting that Word into practice.
Sjanette Eveline, Nadia Pasaribu, Juanda Juanda Hak Cipta (c) 2024 Kaluteros https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/91 Sat, 30 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Model Penggembalaan Menurut 1 Petrus 5:2-3 https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/95
There are many ways to maintain a group of people in a formal or informal organization for a specific purpose. This is also done in a group of believers called a church. In the church there is a term shepherding. Shepherding is a very important thing in the spiritual growth of the congregation, where the role is a pastor who must give his life truly according to his calling in devotion to God. This, as explained in 1 Peter 5:2-3, must be done voluntarily, without coercion, because the service must be sincere and pure, so that it can have an impact through example.
Sjanette Eveline, Agnes Engelia Horman Hak Cipta (c) 2024 Kaluteros https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ https://journal-sttaw.ac.id/index.php/kaluteros/article/view/95 Sat, 09 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000
